Goya: From canned sardines to a canned goods giant
It was its founder’s love of tiny sardines that put Goya on its way to becoming a food giant. 70 years later, the distinctive blue and yellow label is a fixture on supermarket shelves from coast to coast. In many stores, entire aisles are devoted exclusively to Goya’s many varieties of canned foods geared to Hispanic tastes. Rooted in Spain, founded in a New York storefront and today headquartered in New Jersey, Goya is a canned and packaged food powerhouse. We visit the Goya headquarters and get a firsthand view at why Goya has become a household name for generations of Hispanic families.
