We all know Tony Plana from his hit TV show Ugly Betty. But when Tony is not drawing laughs as Betty’s father Ignacio Suarez, he wears a paternal hat of a different kind. In this story we follow Tony to a tiny playhouse in East Los Angeles where he mentors a whole new generation of Hispanic theatre hopefuls. As Tony tells us, it hasn’t been all that long ago when he was in their shoes and this is his way of providing hope, encouragement and instruction to the young men and women who could prove to be tomorrow’s superstars.
