John Trasvina: Mexican American Legal Defense Fund
When he was a child, he was moved by the leadership of Robert F. Kennedy. From that point on, John Trasvina knew he would spend the rest of his life following the examples set by RFK. Forty years later, he heads MALDEF, the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund, dedicated to giving a voice to millions of Hispanics who might otherwise be lost in the complex legal system. In this segment, we profile this brilliant Latino lawyer who, under President Bill Clinton, was the highest ranking Latino at the United States Department of Justice.
